SIDEXIS SYNC SERVICES 2.0 supports Sirona GALILEOS and XG3D

Alsbach, November 7, 2011.  3D data, such as that generated when using the digital volume tomographs SIRONA Galileos or SIRONA Orthophos XG3D, can be transported fully automatically to distributed practice locations with this RSWE software update.

All transmitted 3D data sets can be accessed on the receiving side directly from the SIDEXIS XG database there with fast, local performance. Users can operate the system as if the 3D volume data set had been created at this point. For this reason, neither additional training for the user nor extensive reconfiguration of the existing infrastructure is necessary. In comparison to a terminal server-based solution, which in this context only supports standard 2D SIDEXIS image types, SIDEXIS SYNC SERVICES offer real 3D capabilities in a distributed context.

Also new is the German version of the SIDEXIS SYNC SERVICES applications and documentation.

SIDEXIS SYNC SERVICES allow the automatic exchange of SIDEXIS XG patient and image data between distributed practice locations or distributed SIDEXIS XG databases. Already established, secure network connections are reused for this purpose (e.g. existing VPN infrastructure). Both the data transfer times and the maximum network bandwidth to be used for this are easy to configure and allow integration into almost all distributed practice infrastructures.

Details about SIDEXIS SYNC SERVICES can be found on the www.sidexisplugins.de website.

A 30-day demo version is also available there.
