RSWE introduces first iPad® integration for SIRONA SIDEXIS XG05/26/2010 – Alsbach, Germany. RSWE releases an update of it's well known SidexisMobilePlugin software supporting Apple's new iPad mobile device. This new plugin for SIRONA's dental imaging application SIDEXIS XG has native support for the new iPad features. The huge and vivid LED-backlit display provides an extremely wide viewing angle. This offers new ways of patient communication while looking at dental images and examinations.
The SidexisMobilePlugin for iPad®, iPhone® and iPod® touch offers a direct integration of Apple Inc’s popular mobile devices into SIRONA’s dental imaging application SIDEXIS XG. The SIDEXIS XG plugin communicates with an iPad® App and realizes a wireless transfer of examination and dental image data. This transfer is done utilizing an existing wifi connection in a secure and very fast manner.
The SidexisMobilePlugin usage is as simple as printing dental images with the SIDEXIS XG application: One or more images are selected in an open SIDEXIS XG examination. A push of the new SidexisMobilePlugin button placed inside SIDEXIS XG transfers all selected images to a connected iPad®. Right after this data transfer the images are ready to view at the mobile device.
As an additional image the complete visible SIDEXIS XG examination area can be pushed to the iPad® optionally. This function allows presents all examination images and annotations in one single view even on the iPad.
Any visible SIDEXIS XG image may be send to an iPad®, this includes:
· intraoral X-ray images
· panoramic and ceph X-ray images
· intra- and extraoral video images
· 2D views of GALILEOS DVT 3D scans
· imported images
Patient- and image data residing on the iPad® are structured the same way as SIDEXIS XG does. This allows to access individual images very fast even in very large data sets stored on the iPad®.
